CELTIC YULETIDE CELEBRATION

Holiday Warmth and Cheer For All

CRAICMORE brings the warmth of a cozy living room, a crackling fireplace, a tree adorned with lights and bobbles, and the sweet sounds of the Irish harp to its holiday stage.

Do you remember what it felt like to relax enough to let someone read you a story? Have you heard how Holly & Ivy came to be synonymous with the season? Did you know that when you hang a sprig of Mistletoe, you are inviting all who pass under to lay down their weapons and spend a peaceful time together?

While performing joyful & heartfelt seasonal songs like "I Saw Three Ships," "The Wassail Song," and "Sleigh Ride," along with traditional Scottish and Irish music, CRAICMORE tells stories and myths that trace the roots of many of America's Christmas traditions to their Celtic origins in an enchanting evening of a Celtic Yuletide Celebration.

CRAICMORE delivers a theatrical element to your Holiday audience. Imagine a cozy living room with a fire in the fireplace, stockings hung from the mantle, and a brightly decorated Christmas tree. Nancy sits in a big armchair and reads stories to you on a cold winter's night. You're hearing live Christmas music played by Dave on a beautiful full-sized Irish Harp. These are stories of holly, ivy, mistletoe and the myth of the Oak King. Imagine a hushed audience in your darkened theater listening intently while a story finishes and the band launches into a rousing set of Scottish reels followed by the classic I Saw Three Ships married to Palm Sunday, a beautiful Irish jig.

This is a quick snap shot of an engaging celebration of the Holiday. The program is non-sectarian and warmly inclusive for all to enjoy. The evening ends with a traditional Irish Christmas farewell, a Scottish song and a rousing set of jigs.

CELTIC YULETIDE CELEBRATION has been written, directed and produced to be an inclusive, non-sectarian event, where all are welcome to enjoy and remember this favorite time of year.

“Tonight, at the Celtic Yuletide Celebration concert, the people are just raving about CRAICMORE and what a great time they had. We’re happy they’re here and we’vd love to have them back." Susan Mann - Entertainment Coordinator, Blackfoot Performing Arts Center, Blackfoot, ID
