Knudsen Productions was started in 1999 by owner, Craig Knudsen. Knudsen Productions is a Talent Agency licensed by the State of California. The agency has a roster of approximately 13 touring artists as well as a pool of talent that can be called upon for in town (SF Bay Area) bookings. The goal of Knudsen Productions is to provide quality entertainment in as hassle-free a way as possible.
Craig Knudsens experience in the entertainment field goes back many years. Originally a performer, Craig performed with numerous opera and theater companies throughout the United States as a tenor soloist. Earlier on in his career, Craig performed and toured with the Marcia Ball Band out of Austin, Texas and then put in a stint as a performer and musical director of the acclaimed political theater company, the San Francisco Mime Troupe. Eventually he found a niche singing with the a cappella group, the EDLOS, with whom he served double duty as both a performer and booking agent. It was with the EDLOS that Craig acquired both the skill and experience with entertainment bookings to eventually start his own company, Knudsen Productions.
Craigs background as both a performer and an agent gives him a unique perspective that enables him to see things from both sides, giving him an understanding of the booking process that few people have. This knowledge enables both Craig and his staff to negotiate the booking process from intial contact to contract to performance in a way that is professional, efficient, and fair to all parties involved.
Knudsen Productions is a member of the Western Arts Alliance, Arts Northwest, the Folk Alliance, and the Western Fairs Association and works closely with the top event coordinators and meeting planners in the San Francisco Bay Area.
